**Expert Physio Plus** is offering a high standard of physiotherapy care in Ottawa. Our team includes Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Chiropractors and Osteopathic manual therapy. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for ensuring the seamless and proficient flow of patients in a busy work environment. The basic requirements of the position include: helping patients at reception and on the phone, booking appointments, collecting payments, and using electronic medical records. The Medical Receptionist must be professional, organized, flexible and able to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Experienced in patient/client service and has at least 1 year of experience working with people in a chiropractic, physiotherapy or massage therapy Clinic environment.
- Flexible to work shifts in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Shifts can begin as early as 8:00 a.m. and evening shifts end as late as 8:30 p.m.
- Exceptional customer service skills.

- Fluent in reading, writing, and oral communication in English (French is an asset).
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a wellness-based clinic.
- First-hand knowledge of physiotherapy and/or massage therapy.
- Maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
- Possesses strong math skills, and is comfortable navigating various types of software.
**Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Welcoming and educating patients about our healthcare providers & services and guiding them throughout their experience at our Clinic
- Responding to online appointment requests in a timely manner
- Scanning of appropriate reports, charts and other documents into file import daily.
- Faxing and photocopying.
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Taking payment, generating receipts and invoices and handling various patient and practitioner inquiries.
- Balancing day ends.
- Direct bill private Insurance at time of patient's appointment.
- Preparation of insurance documentation, both on paper and via electronic Insurance portals: HCAI, WSIB, TELUS Health, Blue Cross etc.
- Ensuring Inventory cabinets and Physiotherapy cart checklists are completed.
- Washing/drying laundry, folding laundry.
- Helping in daily cleaning and tidying of the clinic treatment areas and staff areas.
**What We Offer**:
- An hourly wage based on $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
