The Manager, Warehouse and Logistics is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of the Highbury Distribution Centre (DC) and Page Street Warehouse. This includes accountability for the warehouse facility, inbound and outbound products and materials, inventory movements, and systems/process design and improvement.

**More about your responsibilities**:

- Oversee the operations of the Highbury DC and Page Street Warehouse, encompassing the receipt, storage, management, and outgoing shipment of raw materials and finished products.
- Motivate, coach, and inspire team members to perform at their highest level.
- Enforce and ensure the safe, clean, secure, compliant, and efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with logistics delivery providers, negotiating terms and overseeing shipments to customers both domestically within Canada and internationally.
- Monitor and evaluate current logistics practices, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to further analyze freight costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings, while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization, considering factors such as product turnover, size, and weight; recommend warehouse design and equipment requirements to enhance quality and efficiency, and manage these improvement plans and activities.
- Implement and improve systems/processes for warehouse efficiency, flow of material, shipment cost and status, product traceability and accuracy.
- Overall responsibility for the Inventory Record Accuracy program.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, Quality Management, and Environmental Management System policies and procedures set forth by JHG.

- Diploma or degree in a related field.
- Valid forklift and driver’s license.
- 5+ years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function with proven leadership experience in this environment.
- Subject matter expert in operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
- Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) will be required.
- Experience with SAP, Lean, Six Sigma is an asset.
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
