**Payroll Assistant**

**The Opportunity**:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Enter and verify new employee information, employee changes and terminations
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of the payroll function within the company and respond to employee and department enquiries as they relate to payroll
- Assist senior payroll staff and other HR personnel in payroll and benefits areas where required

**Other Details**:

- This is a temporary 16 month position
- Job location: Calgary, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off (Monday to Friday)

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of related experience with High School Diploma or GED
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate (completed or in progress) considered an asset
- Strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
- Experience in Oracle HCM Cloud and UKG (Kronos) considered an asset
