**About this role**:
The Investment Coach works with Branch Managers to provide sales effectiveness coaching to licensed sales representatives that will improve the quality of investment advice and overall member experience. Coaches supplement the capacity and capabilities of Branch Managers to help deepen knowledge of investment products and support the overall member journey and sales process for investment solutions. Coaches focus on general investing topics, investment products, account types, and basic aspects of financial planning. Coaches support LFSA’s with client engagement skills to help uncover unmet member needs and determine opportunities to improve savings goals or motivate asset consolidation opportunities.

**What You’ll Do**:
**Impact on the Business**
- Help build a sustainable wealth sales force and significantly improve financial planning and investing capabilities of front-line staff
- Foster member engagement activities of the front-line sales force by working with branch managers to provide book analysis and identify member segments to target for investment opportunities.
- Support branch managers in improving Member satisfaction, sales quality, deepening and building the member relationship with Meridian while ensuring we maintain a profitable scale.
- Provide internal technical consultancy in area of expertise surrounding investment products, investment accounts, basic tax advantages, and entry level financial planning techniques
- Deepen front line knowledge of various wealth platforms for financial planning and other key Member engagements.
- Support branch managers in communicating the wealth strategy while assisting sales representatives in achieving growth, acquisition, and income goals.
- Drive market-leading standards for conduct and controls in line with Meridian values and expectations.

**Members / Stakeholders**
- Work with branch managers to identify target audience, areas of development and agree upon expected outcomes.
- Join client calls or meetings with sales representatives to identify development opportunities but do not directly provide advice to Members.
- Effectively use performance KPIs, Member feedback, and knowledge of top performers to accelerate the onboarding and drive the development of newly hired and core contributing sales representatives.
- Effectively deploy coaching techniques and using structured development plans to help sales representatives learn and grow.
- Facilitate in-person and remote coaching sessions in groups and/or one-on-one for areas of expertise.

**Leadership & Teamwork**
- Deliver coaching to build licensed sales representatives skills on specific knowledge areas or to refine member engagement tactics, e.g. financial planning, sales activity management, sales quality etc. (important that coaches are seen as investment experts)
- Work with sales managers and Branch Managers to facilitate sharing of best practices, monitoring, and supporting the development and optimization of business and financial performance of the sales team.
- Partner with other members of the Practice Management team in the development of in-house tools and programs to support our evolving practice management discipline

**Operational Effectiveness & Control**
- Ensure all processes and procedures are accurate and in accordance with Meridian policy standards and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with industry regulators (FSRA/MFDA/Advocus) and Meridian policies in all aspects of strategy, sales processes, product suitability, Member correspondence, administration, and complaint handling.
- Adhere to all relevant processes and procedures of the compliance policy and internal risk management controls.
- Contribute to Meridian creating and retaining market leading standards and controls.
- Implement compliance policy by managing compliance risk in partnership with Meridian compliance team, branch compliance managers, and AVISO compliance team by ensuring adequate compliance training, fostering a compliant culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
