This job opportunity is with Elections Canada’s Environmental Monitoring Centre. Our team prides itself on bringing together diverse talents to form a cohesive team where everyone works hard to offer non-partisan, unbiased, excellent and useful digital communication services to all participants involved in the electoral process.

Our mandate is three-fold: make sense of the public “information ecosystem” related to Canadian federal elections; provide clear, accessible, accurate and true information about Canadian federal elections on Elections Canada’s official accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube; and respond to inquiries from the general public via those same official accounts.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (OCEO) is located at 30 Victoria Street, in the heart of downtown Gatineau. Our location is easily accessible and is located near Place du Portage and just a few kilometers away from downtown Ottawa.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Notes:
Other acceptable combinations of education, training and/or experience could be deemed acceptable, for example a Secondary 3 with 2 years of experience in an office environment in the last 5 years.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience of using Microsoft suite tools, including Outlook, Excel and MS Teams for processing incoming documents, collecting/organizing data, managing tasks, collaborating and producing reports, graphs or calendars.

Experience in collecting, updating and compiling data from various sources in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
