Digital Marketing Analyst

**JOB SUMMARY**
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop measurement plans for campaigns, including appropriate goals and conversions to be set up
- Determine and communicate web benchmarks that assist in campaign planning
- Setting up web analytics including google tag manager, conversion goals, events and tracking tags
- Establish detailed remarketing lists based on conversions, audience behaviour, web traffic, etc.
- Setting up and generating period reports on analytics and campaigns
- Creating presentations and reports on the progress of clients’ campaigns
- Monitor website and PPC, Organic, Social campaign performance to ensure conversions are achieved
- Monitor web & campaign performance to identify opportunities, potential issues and key outliers
- Present key findings to the Digital Marketing Strategist
- Installing media buy-in pixels and tracking codes through Google Tag Manager
- Complete QA checklist for analytics and GTM set up and review with Digital Marketing Strategist
- Review data and provide insights based on performance to guide on-site, landing page and campaign optimization to help improve performance
- Support on market research by monitoring and analyzing marketing trends to provide key findings based on first party and third party data to help inform digital strategy
- Create dashboards, data visualizations, and campaign and website performance reports
- Troubleshooting of firing and data errors associated with pixels, conversions, and events **b**efore, during, and after** Google Analytics installation
- Occasionally participate in client meetings to present data findings and ask appropriate questions to gather client needs
- Collaborate with departmental stakeholders (developers, project managers, account managers) to gather important information and clarify client queries.
**EDUCATION & TRAINING**
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications or related field
- Advanced Google Analytics Certification is **mandatory**
**EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL SKILLS and KEY COMPETENCIES**
- 5+ years of experience working in digital marketing is **mandatory**
- 4+ years working experience with setting up Google analytics and Google tag manager for several accounts is **mandatory**:
- **2+ years of experience with participating and presenting at client meetings**:
- **2+ years of experience i**nstalling pixels and tracking codes**:
- Understanding of 5 key reporting dashboards in Google Analytics (real-time, audience, acquisition, behaviour and conversions) is **mandatory**:
- Experience and strong understanding of setting up Google Tag Manager is **mandatory**:
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Data Studio, DashThis, and Whatagraph is an **asset**:
- General understanding of HTML and best practices
- Highly analytical, data driven and results oriented
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Must be detail oriented
- Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking capability
