Claims Specialist

**How you will Impact PLATFORM**
**How you will be Successful**
- Provide claims advocacy and advisory services to clients including complex losses such as environmental liability, cyber, professional liability and large wrap-up and builder’s risk claims
- Prepare claims analysis and recommendations based on interpretation of contracts, loss runs, legal documents and policy wordings from a variety of insurers
- Assist with claims intake, reporting and file management to ensure efficient resolution of claims
- Attend site meetings, as required, and consult with various claims stakeholders to assist in negotiation and handling of claims including adjusters, legal counsel, contractors, engineers, etc.
- Meet with the PLATFORM account teams and their clients, as required, to ensure the client’s needs are being managed appropriately
- Ensure PLATFORM’s quality of service standards are always upheld with clients by following claims protocols and procedures
- Be a team player and approach every day with an “all hands-on deck” attitude
**Education, Experience, and Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in any discipline
- RIBO License or ability to obtain is required
- 5+ years of property & casualty commercial insurance experience in a property or liability claims function
- Expertise or concentration in construction insurance an asset
- Knowledge of Applied Systems EPIC Broker Management System an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team orientation with strong interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
