Toronto, Canada Faire Full time

**About Faire**

Faire is an online wholesale marketplace built on the belief that the future is local — independent retailers around the globe are doing more revenue than Walmart and Amazon combined. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so that small businesses everywhere can compete with these big box and e-commerce giants.

By supporting the growth of independent businesses, Faire is driving positive economic impact in local communities, globally. We're looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

**About this role**

Research is central to Faire's product development, marketing, and business strategy and as a Staff Market Researcher, you'll join a tight-knit, collaborative Research team that cares deeply about Faire's customers. We're looking for a mixed-methods researcher (with an emphasis on quantitative skills) to help us better understand our customers, their journeys and needs, acquisition strategies, and campaign performance. You'll surface insights about the health of our brand and the motivations of our customers to inform actionable brand strategies to meet our business objectives. In this role, you will own and drive our Longitudinal Tracker program, dig into the 'why' behind what we're seeing in our data, and partner across Marketing, Product, and Strategy to evolve the way we leverage Faire marketplace data. By partnering horizontally across Faire, you'll help us systematically understand our Brands and Retailers and help them fall in love with Faire.

**What you'll do**
- Identify, plan, lead, and execute end-to-end research that drives marketing and growth objectives
- Manage and evolve our longitudinal tracking program while delivering quarterly reports and insights to the broader business
- In partnership with cross-functional teams, integrate alternate data sources (qualitative research, secondary research, campaign analytics, attribution metrics, etc.) to triangulate research insights that drive business decisions
- Translate insights into recommendations that drive brand sentiment, communications, marketing strategy, and user acquisition, retention, and engagement
- Clearly communicate your rich insights and recommendations in compelling and creative ways

**Be the voice of the customer and create an integrated view of how our customers perceive Faire**
- Proactively shape marketing research prioritization and implementation through collaboration with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Product, and Strategy & Analytics as well as our broader Research team
- Collaborate closely with Content Marketing to archetype data-led stories and projects, as well as pinpoint customer data that can be leveraged across editorial programs
- Oversee the data analysis for our customer-facing shopping trends reports

**Qualifications**
- 10+ years of experience in Customer Insights, Experience Research and/or Analytics (5+ years at a technology company); mix of experiences at the intersection of Research, Marketing and Analytics
- Hands-on experience managing Brand/longitudinal tracker programs
- Hands-on experience independently designing and running quantitative research from beginning to end, including questionnaire creation, survey programming, sampling, weighting, data cleaning & analysis, and reporting, etc.
- Comfortable using data analysis software such as SPSS or R, and survey programming tools such as Qualtrics
- Breadth of knowledge about research, from methods to effective storytelling and have expertise in quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, extracting the core insight and finding the emotional core to create a clear and compelling narrative
- Comfortable doing scrappy, tactical research and longer-term strategic research
- Great organization and communication skills. You present research insights and recommendations clearly and confidently, regardless of audience and can inspire action.
- A collaborative approach. You're a great partner to others and your cross-functional teammates.
- A growth mindset. You're open and receptive to feedback and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

**Salary Range**

Canada: the pay range for this role is $149,000 to $205,000 per year.
- Faire's flexible work model aims to meet the needs of our diverse employee community by making work more flexible, connected, and inclusive. Depending on the role and needs of the team, Faire employees have the flexibility to choose how they work-whether that's mainly in the office, remotely, or a mix of both._
