**Position Title**:Sales and Marketing Manager
**Reports To**:CEO
**Salary Range**: $90,000 - $140,000 DOE
**Location**: Atlantic Canada preferred, consider all Canadian locations

**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement Poseidon's sales and marketing strategy, aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
- Lead all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospecting, relationship building, solution presentations, negotiations, and contract closures.
- Oversee the client-facing customer success team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and successful outcomes
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and cultivating strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, providing insights to guide product development and positioning.
- Oversee the marketing function, including branding, communications, digital marketing, and lead generation activities to enhance brand awareness and drive customer engagement.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure commercial viability and market fit of new products and features, based on customer feedback and market demand.
- Develop and manage the commercial budget, closely monitoring financial performance and resource allocation to optimize profitability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact Poseidon's commercial operations, ensuring compliance and adapting strategies accordingly.
- Represent Poseidon at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, acting as a brand ambassador and showcasing the company's value proposition.
**Requirements**:
- Post secondary education in Business, Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
- A minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role within sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in the aquaculture or technology sector
- Extensive experience in sales, business development, and marketing, with a strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and complex solutions selling.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, meet sales targets, and expand market share.
- Strategic mindset with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify market opportunities and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Knowledge of the aquaculture industry, including an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the sector, is highly desirable.
- Experience with AI or technology-driven solutions is a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed to customer sites, industry events, and company locations.
