Warehouse Mechanic - Respiratory and Oxygen Equipment
Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Mechanic specializing in respiratory and oxygen equipment, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of respiratory equipment, with a focus on oxygen concentrators. Your role will involve troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to support the optimal performance of these critical medical devices. The position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a commitment to upholding safety and quality standards.
**Responsibilities**:
Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment, specifically oxygen concentrators, to identify and address potential issues.
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring timely and efficient turnaround.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems with respiratory equipment, utilizing a systematic and analytical approach.
Collaborate with other team members and relevant stakeholders to address complex issues.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, including details of repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Complete service reports and document any modifications or upgrades made to the equipment.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
Participate in quality control initiatives to uphold the highest standards for respiratory equipment.
Inventory Management:
Assist in managing and organizing the inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for equipment repairs.
Communicate effectively with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of required parts.
Training and Collaboration:
Provide training and support to warehouse staff on the proper handling and care of respiratory equipment.
Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to address equipment-related issues and improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
**Education**:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical systems is preferred.
**Experience**:
Proven experience in maintaining and repairing respiratory equipment, particularly oxygen concentrators.
Familiarity with medical equipment regulations and standards.
**Skills**:Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
