The Opportunity

The Commercial Operations Manager, SK leadership to the Commercial Operations Team and is responsible for maximizing the alignment, efficiency and effectiveness of the processes within the SK Commercial Department with the rest of the Prairie Region. With a focus on building and maintaining technical knowledge as well as solid insurance industry relationships, this role also ensures that Commercial sales are supported and increased while employees are provided with opportunities to grow within the Organization. The Commercial Operations Manager, SK develops and maintains operational excellence by improving efficiencies and ensuring that, even during organizational growth, all systems in the organization are aligned toward achieving overall strategic goals.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Saskatchewan Sales but will work collaboratively with the other Vice President’s and Commercial Operations leaders across the Prairie Region to design, align, communicate and follow up on commercial operations.

While leading by example, will ensure that with active mentorship, teams are working toward their personal goals and objectives in alignment with organizational goals. Ensures there is continual focus on employee developmental practices that attract and retain employees and strives for excellence in the quality of work and service provided by the commercial operations teams.

The Commercial Operations Manager, SK builds and maintains lasting relationships within the Commercial Team throughout Saskatchewan, the Prairie Region and beyond to add value to Sales, Commercial Marketing, Personal Insurance Operations, key business partners and clients.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:
Responsible for process improvement opportunities, increased productivity via work standardization, process workflow review, and the elimination of redundant and obsolete practices. Track, monitor, and measure the effectiveness of all business improvement initiatives and develop long term strategies to improve overall productivity. Work with others to build a culture of continuous process improvement.

Proactively identifies performance barriers to ensure that Commercial Insurance product knowledge and solid insurance company relationships are developed and maintained within IBU

Develop and maintains Commercial Standard Operating Procedures

Attend, participate in and/or lead meetings as needed.

Supports and coaches commercial employees

EPIC and related systems coordinator (workflows, piloting, updates, as it relates to com ops)

Provide Systems and SOP training

Client retention, including an understanding of the reasons for losses and addressing them.

Create a high-performance culture across the team

Review reports/results with the commercial team monthly.

Lead the team and ensure we attract, hire and retain top talent for Commercial Operations while maintaining staffing levels to meet client needs and allow for profitability.

This is a Full-Time Permanent career working out of our Saskatchewan locations.

What you will bring to the role
- Ideally, 10 -15 years of commercial insurance experience

A minimum of 5-10 years of experience managing a diverse group of insurance professionals is required.

CAIB Designation is required

Previous experience managing across organizational boundaries is an asset
