Your Impact

The HR Generalist will provide a broad range of HR support to our Mississauga location. You will w ork closely with HR Business Partners to ensure employee relations initiatives and processes are consistently adapted. Act as an HR resource for Mississauga employees to ask general HR questions. You will s upport HR reporting, performance management, Talent Acquisition, retention, and other initiatives. You will gain experience in employee relations, coaching and empowering employees to work together toward common goals. This position also offers direct access to the Qualitrol executive leadership team through administrative support as needed. Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

P rovide HR support in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, policies, safety, employee development, compensation and benefits.
Build relationships with new employees by providing support throughout the pre-employment and onboarding process.

P repare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
Perform tactical HR tasks like processing new hire paperwork, scheduling interviews, conduct ing new hire orientations, and updating associate records in HRIS system.
C oordinate Qualitrol training and recognition programs, monitor employee headcount, support HR reporting activities, and maintain data integrity in a global HRIS system.
Creates and maintains standard work, KPI’s, and continually look for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Other administrative tasks as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
One to three+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or Coordinator. Ideal for someone starting their HR career.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
W orking knowledge of federal and provincial employment law.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and creatively solve problems.

Must be organized and be able to plan and prioritize tasks
A bility to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand data trends, evaluate and make recommendations.
Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
Must have g ood judgment accompanied with a high degree of empathy, integrity, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
