The Community Impact Manager is responsible for the development/enhancement of United Way of Central Alberta’s community impact work with a particular emphasis on how to realize our intentions to work with communities to create spaces where everyone has the resources, opportunities and support they need to thrive. This role includes managing all granting, data collection and outcome reporting, working in collaborations and with partners to address social issues. Additionally, the Community Impact Manager may encompass building capacity in communities through outreach programs and workshops and advocacy efforts.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Reporting directly to the CEO and working collaboratively colleagues, this position leads the implementation of the organization’s community impact strategies. You will design, facilitate and execute a comprehensive community impact strategic plan in collaboration with the Community Impact Council, an operational volunteer committee, and the UWCA staff team, ensuring alignment with local priorities and United Way Centraide Canada investment framework.
The Community Impact Manager is also involved in supporting reconciliation efforts by building stronger relationships with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples to contribute to meaningful lasting prosperity. You will support other the diversity, equity and inclusion strategies in the organization, such as improving representation in decision-making and working in partnership with the people and communities that UWCA’s work is intended to benefit.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor level education in social sciences, humanities or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven project management experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (we use cloud-based Office 365).
- Knowledge of community development practices.
- Knowledge of diversity and equity practices.
- Strong knowledge in data collection and outcome measurement.
- Experience with facilitating community conversations.
- Experience with multi-sector collaborations.
- Experience with advocacy.
- Experience in managing volunteers or committee experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of charitable and/or social sector is an asset.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
We collaborate in a small office environment with an open desk concept. This role will require lengthy times sitting at a desk and working on a screen. Our office has open frontage for easy client access and interaction. Our work environment is hybrid, with time spent both collaborating in the office as well as the option to work remotely as scheduling permits.
This position will require flexible work hours and/or extra hours for event and campaign support.
Lifting is mínimal and limited to office resources, event supplies, basic need donations, stationery, etc.
