**Responsabilités**

L’agent de liaison des sciences médicales (ALSM) est une ressource scientifique pour les experts canadiens dans le domaine de la neuroscience et de la maladie d'Alzheimer. Il incombe à l’ALSM de répondre de façon détaillée aux demandes de renseignements scientifiques de pointe de la part de la communauté médicale dans le domaine des maladies auto-immunes - documentation scientifique la plus récente, résultats de recherches émanant d’importantes conférences scientifiques, mises à jour sur les activités de formation de Lilly et activités de recherche concernant la gamme de produits en développement de Lilly.

L’ALSM recueille également les commentaires et les réflexions des experts scientifiques et des leaders d’opinion afin de mieux étayer les recherches de Lilly et de définir l’orientation stratégique globale de l’entreprise. En facilitant les échanges scientifiques entre le milieu universitaire et Lilly, l’ALSM est à même de façonner l’avenir des soins de santé à l’aide de renseignements touchant d’importantes questions cliniques et scientifiques.

Dans toutes ses interactions, l’ALSM s’assure que les activités sont conformes aux lignes directrices, règles et règlements entourant la recherche en vigueur, au Code d’éthique de Médicaments novateurs Canada, à la politique d’Eli Lilly Canada sur la promotion des produits pharmaceutiques et aux interactions éthiques avec les professionnels de la santé, et à tout autre règlement ou code en vigueur qui pourrait toucher son travail à l’avenir.

Objectifs

Établir et maintenir des relations mutuellement avantageuses entre pairs avec la communauté scientifique.
- L’ALSM consacre la majeure partie de son temps à des activités de contact avec les clients afin d’établir des relations avec les clients externes, dont les experts scientifiques, les chercheurs, les formateurs et les chercheurs cliniques. Il agit à titre de représentant principal de Lilly auprès de ces professionnels de la santé, en fournissant de l’information approfondie et exhaustive sur différents états pathologiques et produits, et en facilitant le travail des experts scientifiques conformément à la mission de Lilly. Un aspect important de ce mandat est d’établir des liens entre les leaders d’opinion et les experts scientifiques et les autres ressources de Lilly (p. ex., scientifiques ayant fait des découvertes ou obtenu des données probantes en situation réelle, médecins en recherche clinique et membres de la Division de recherche et développement au Canada et à l’international).

Communiquer efficacement avec les experts scientifiques et les leaders d’opinion, leur transmettre des connaissances scientifiques à jour et fournir des services qui répondent à leurs besoins.
- L’ALSM est considéré comme une ressource fiable et de confiance à même de fournir des renseignements médicaux et scientifiques exacts et récents aux clients. Il peut répondre sans tarder aux demandes de vive voix et électroniques de manière à fournir toute l’information disponible, qui pourrait comprendre des tirés à part ou des affiches, des lettres médicales, des citations tirées de la documentation, des diapositives, l’accès à des experts internes et externes, et autres matériels de formation.

Étendre continuellement les connaissances scientifiques.
- L’ALSM est tenu de maintenir une expertise technique dans un domaine thérapeutique donné pour participer à des discussions scientifiques avec les experts scientifiques. Il est attendu de l’ALSM qu’il participe à des activités de formation continue liées au domaine thérapeutique dont il est le spécialiste.
