As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, you will contribute to the definition of the Finance function’s strategic priorities. We’re looking for a team member who’s excited about driving efficiencies through technology and process transformation. Your deliverable will have a material impact in our ability to fund the company’s future growth in a compliant, risk efficient, and efficient way. Finally, this person will be responsible for the development and professional growth of team of five, including one manager and four credit and collection analysts.

Highlights, Treasury Operations:

- Management of banking relationships, including loan facilities and cash management services, as well as other banking activities (i.e. letter of credits, forex, etc).
- Responsible for managing all banking operations including loan management, accounts positioning and release of funds (cheque batches and electronic transfers).
- Leading efficient risk management practices, including specific focus on forex and interest rate exposure, and implementing specific initiatives to mitigate these and other risks.
- Forecasting cash requirements and developing plans to ensure on time and cost effective funding alternatives. This includes understanding working capital and capital expenditure plans and determining the best financing options.
- Management of optimal capital structure, through a balance of financing and equity, as well as overseeing compliance of to our funding facilities’ covenants.
- Responsible for credit and collection policies and operations, working with a team made out of one manager and four credit and collection analysts.

Highlights, Tax Operations:

- Manage the relationship and activities of a third-party advisor that provides corporate tax planning and compliance services, both for the USA and Canada.
- Prepares corporate tax provision and related notes utilized in our audited financial statements.
- Preparation and filing of sales tax returns for all of our North American business.
- Responsible for tax estimates and payments, as well as overseeing tax accounts to ensure activity and balances are reconciled.
- Manage and coordinate tax authority audits.
- Ensure transfer pricing documentation is current, consistently applied and in compliance with transfer pricing internal policies and external regulations.
- Managing employee taxation matters as required.

Highlights, Risk Management Operations:

- Lead and oversee the insurance activities of the company.
- Manage insurance renewals, working closely with our third-party insurance broker to secure a desired risk exposure.
- Oversee claims processing to ensure fair resolutions while maintaining profitability.
- Plan and attend risk engineering visits to manufacturing sites.
- Work closely with other departments to identify and mitigate financial risks across the business.

We’re looking for someone who has:

- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, math, or data science.
- CPA or CFA designation, In Depth Tax Program (IDTP) is a plus.
- 8+ years of post-designation tax and accounting experience.
- Experienced in full cycle accounting is a plus.

To note:

- This role reports into the CFO and interacts closely with the CEO and board members.
- This is a hybrid position (3 days in office, 2 from home) based out of our HQ in Richmond, BC.
- We're offering a base salary between $138,000 - $170,000 + a 20% bonus.
