Macadam Construction is seeking an experienced and dynamic **Construction Project Coordinator **to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion.

**Responsibilities**:
**Project Coordination**:

- Collaborate with developers to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Coordinate detailed project plans, outlining timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assess project risks, proposing mitigation strategies.

**Resource Management**:

- Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
- Monitor resource utilization and optimize efficiency.

**Team Leadership**:

- Motivate, and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring team members have clear roles and responsibilities.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle.

**Progress Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Prepare regular status reports for internal stakeholders and clients, addressing accomplishments, challenges, and proposed solutions.

**Quality Assurance and Compliance**:

- Ensure all construction activities adhere to industry standards, codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to maintain the highest standards of workmanship.

**Client and Stakeholder Communication**:

- Establish and maintain open and effective communication with clients, addressing concerns and providing updates on project status.
- Manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

**Change Management**:

- Evaluate and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and resources, minimizing potential disruptions.
- Implement change orders and variations as required, ensuring accurate documentation.

**Problem Solving**:

- Identify and address challenges and issues that arise during project execution.
- Implement proactive solutions to minimize risks and ensure project continuity.

**Project Closure and Documentation**:

- Conduct comprehensive project reviews to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all project documentation, including as-built drawings and final reports, are accurate and complete.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Civil Project Coordinator successfully delivering civil engineering and construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with construction regulations, permits, and compliance requirements.

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Middle Sackville, NS B4B 1S1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
