Duncan, Canada Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association Full time

**Become part of our collaborative team at CTRA Since 1986, Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association (CTRA) has been a registered non-profit organization offering therapeutic riding and equine-based wellness programs in the Cowichan Valley. As a Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association accredited exam and training centre, CTRA provides programs for individuals with diverse abilities in an environment of inclusivity and opportunity.**

We are currently looking for a Coordinator of Volunteer /Financial Clerk to join the team at CTRA. This is a full time position Monday through Friday. Salary will be based on qualifications and the position comes with a full benefit package.

**PURPOSE**:Coordinate volunteers for all aspects of the riding program, barn help and facility maintenance. Collaborate with CTRA team members to identify volunteer needs. Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including payroll and accounts payable/receivable.

**QUALIFICATIONS**: Self-starter with excellent computer and phone skills, conflict resolution skills and client relationship development skills.

Minimum two years office experience

Accounting knowledge and quick books experience. Knowledge of horses and riding experience is an asset. Must pass a criminal record check. Must have own transportation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Volunteers Coordination**
- Record and maintain volunteer attendance.
- Liaise with community agencies and schools to offer volunteer opportunities. Find volunteers to fill in for vacancies, often on short notice. Find volunteers for special events.
- Maintain a volunteer database.
- Provide proof of volunteer hours on letterhead when requested.
- Assist with tack shop sales when necessary.
- Coordinate and supervise all volunteer orientation sessions. Delegate sessions to the instructor team.
- In collaboration with the management team, assist with special events including the Ride-a-thon, Pub Night, Parking Lot Party, and riding demos.
- In collaboration with the office manager, coordinate the volunteer appreciation event/nominations, etc.

**Financial duties**
- Manage the QuickBooks database.
- Produce financial reports for the ED and Board as necessary.
- Track and record all financial transactions.
- Process payroll for 11 to 14 full and part time employees.
- Perform all banking requirements.
- Submit the annual Charity Return, PST and GST rebate.
- Work with the finance committee in developing annual budgets.

- Confidentiality - will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and is to adhere to the requirements set out by PIPA (Personal Information Protection Act)

Pay: $25.00-$27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
