**WE ARE RECRUITING FOR AN ACCOUNTING CLERK/TECHNICIAN.**

We are looking for someone who can provide casual/flexible/part-time support on an as needed and negotiated basis.

Madrone Environmental Services is a growing mid-size environmental consulting practice based in British Columbia. Our head office is located on Vancouver Island in the Cowichan Valley. At the heart of Madrone are our people. Our team of professionals include Agrologists, Biologists, Engineers, Foresters, Geoscientists, Environmental Scientists and GIS

Analysists. We provide a variety of consulting services focused on the environmental aspects of land management. We offer a flexible work environment with a competitive salary and health benefits.

**Role of Accounting Technician**:
You will also work closely with Managers to develop, document, and implement internal control policies and procedures, as well as:

- Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Completing full cycle accounting activities.
- Providing support on financial queries from staff to clients.
- Providing recommendations to the Finance Manager on improving systems.
- Documenting and implementing processes.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Formal bookkeeping certifications and/or equivalent experience.
- Attention to detail, above average analytical and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, pro-active and self-directed.
- Client minded with a customer service background.
- QuickBooks experience an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Freelance

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
