Reporting to the Manager, Special Projects, the Locates Manager will be responsible for supporting the daily activities of the job site.

**What You Will Do Here**:

- Support Aecon’s major projects by developing a dedicated locate program.
- Coordinate the dedicated locate program with Ontario One Call and Utility owners as required.
- Coordinate locate requests for the entire project.
- Create, manage, and distribute documentation and correspondence.
- Screen requests and identify issues to determine priority.
- Schedule utility locates.
- Coordinate and provide meeting set-up for internal and external meetings.
- Compile and distribute various performance reports.
- Responsible for the successful delivery of the locate services to ensure there are no disruptions to the work.
- Reduce/Eliminate utility strikes on the project.
- Manage a team of locators (our own forces or subcontractors) performing locate services.

**What You Bring To The Team**:

- A minimum of 5-10 years of Industry experience including operational leadership experience.
- A strong understanding of all underground utilities is an asset.
- Previous underground construction experience is an asset.
- Communication - excellent ability to clearly and effectively communicate information and clarify requirements both verbally and in writing.
- Effectively manage time to keep commitments to both internal and external clients.
- Must be highly organized and able to multi-task.
- Must be able to probe and gather detailed information from callers, assess issues accurately and assign level of priority.
- Familiarity with Ontario’s Bill 93 - Getting Ontario Connected Act.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid Ontario (G)BC Driver’s license and a positive driving record.
