The Driver Recruiter/Trainer is responsible for managing the Drivers, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include driver recruitment and retention, training, performance monitoring, and maintaining a safe working environment.

As a Driver Recruiter/Trainer, your focus will be on keeping the company operating efficiently while upholding its reputation, preventing legal issues, and ensuring the safety of drivers and the general public.

This role reports to the Safety & Compliance Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Recruit, onboard, and train new drivers.
- Conduct New Hire Road Tests
- Monitor and evaluate driver performance.
- Monitor Dashcam System and follow up with drivers on dashcam Trigger Events
- Enforce safety standards and promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain compliance with National Safety Code and Transportation Regulations.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to drivers.
- Manage driver discipline and retention.
- Reconcile Unassigned Driving Events on the ELD System
- Audit Driver Logs (Daily and Monthly)

**Qualifications & Key Competencies**:

- 5+ years of Class 1 Driving experience (required).
- Ability to Coach, Mentor and Teach others, public speaking
- Experience with ELD and telematics systems.
- 1+ year of office experience.
- Intermediate skills in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and TMS systems.
- Strong knowledge of the National Safety Code and Transportation Regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet urgent deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- LCV Experience/Certification is an asset
- PDIC and LCV Instructor Certification is an asset

**Hours and Location**:

- Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:30
- Terminal Location: Calgary, AB

**Remuneration**:
$65,000 - $70,000 per year based on experience
