**What this role is all about**:
**What you’ll do**:

- IT Security_
- Works with Gulf & Fraser's managers to develop, maintain and promote an in-depth IT security
- Monitors security trends and events and recommends and implements changes to Gulf & Fraser’s security policies, procedures, and
- Evaluates and works closely with cloud and third-party venders that host and process Gulf & Fraser data to ensure they meet or exceed Gulf & Fraser security
- Works with other departments, third parties, regulators, and auditors to improve Gulf & Fraser security.
- Advocates IT security within Gulf & Fraser by promoting security awareness and sharing best practices with employees through training or other
- Helps foresee security issues and takes proactive steps to mitigate potential issues.
- Maintains an effective cybersecurity monitoring and alerting
- Infrastructure Support_
- Deploys and administers security tools.
- Recommends and updates Gulf & Fraser hardware and software to improve security and block potential threats.
- Creates, reviews, and maintains security documentation to serve as a reference.
- Monitors security software licensing and makes recommendations to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations

**A little about your qualifications**:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology
- 2+ years related experience. Enterprise experience is an asset.
- CISSP Security designation or similar
- Microsoft or Cisco certification is an asset
- Must be located in the Lower Mainland
- Aptitude for solving problems and understanding IT security
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
