**Bookkeeper (Non-Profit/Charitable Sector Clients)**

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for non-profit and charitable sector clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
- Utilize online accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Collaborate with the Controller to support financial reporting and budgeting processes for clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, demonstrating flexibility and compassion while maintaining process compliance.
- Problem-solve and offer solutions to address financial challenges faced by purpose-driven organizations with limited budgets.
- Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored financial support.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the non-profit or charitable sector.
- Strong understanding of general bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficiency in online accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online or Sage 50.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, and utilize formulas and functions effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on balancing process compliance and flexibility for purpose-driven clients.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and budgeting processes is an asset.
- A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
