**Job Duties and Requirements**:
The Production Manager is responsible for the operations of the plant for the afternoon shift. The duties of the plant manager include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, Organize, Direct, and run day to day operations to meet company targets and customers’ expectations
- Equipment Maintenance
- Manpower
- Product Quality
- Employee Relations - for supervisors and production staff
- Improving production Process
- Reviewing Production Reports
- Ensuring compliance to all established health and safety rules
- Attend and participate in various company meetings and provide updates ss required
- Communicate with team and share the company goals and objectives
- Assist in material inventory and controls management
- Performance management and progressive discipline of subordinates
- Drive the creation and implementation of best practice processes - manufacturing operations, training effectiveness, staff development, metrics, and communication protocols.
- Analyze plant performance through KPIs and reports -direct labor efficiency, productivity, absenteeism, inventory, and backlog.
- Identify where performance gaps exist and then devise appropriate plans for improvement and implementation of those plans.
**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
- Advanced knowledge of computer(s).
- Strong mathematical skills
- Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to address employee issues such as employee development, coaching, and performance concerns
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to work with a minimum direction and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
**Experience**:
- 5 to 10 years of plant management experience with knowledge of production control principles, plant management and supervisory processes; methods of controlling and enforcing quality, production standards; and health and safety standards
- Experience with inventory compliance
- Experience with creating SOPs/Work Instructions and excellent understanding of document control protocols
- Understanding of quality assurance processes
- Understanding of 5S principles
- Experience managing temporary staff is an asset
