Demand Planning/artwork Specialist

**The Position**:
This position is responsible for demand planning, efficient inventory management and the coordination of artworks for printed packaging components. In partnership with other BI Operating Units as well as domestic and international third parties, ensure timely product supply, successful site transfers, product launches and all packaging changes and re-packaging activities in a cost-effective manner.

**Responsibilities**:
**Demand planning**
- Execute the SAP (GRP) based net requirement planning in SAP (Handling alert monitor for product supply).
- Coordinate efficient Master data set up in SAP/GRP to allow proper MRP (Material Requirement Planning) functionality in SAP in alignment with global processes and stakeholders.
- Perform the version management in planning systems in alignment with global and local stakeholders (Marketing, Regulatory, etc.).
- Translate marketing forecast into net requirements, considering inventory on hand and safety stocks, using local and international systems and interfaces.
- Discuss and align with Marketing/Forecast Manager on a regular basis on supply issues, forecast deviation and accuracy, special promotions, projected write off and potential to reduce write offs and strategy for meeting inventory targets.

**Sales & Operations Process**
- Driver and facilitator for the local S&OP process. Moderate locally overall process and own product and supply reviews. Being key contact within the organization for local S&OP related topics.

**Inventory Management**
- Overall and Product based Inventory management.
- Being key contact for global target processes and local inventory management.
- Proactively inform stakeholders when targeted inventory levels will not be met and in case of stockout/ stock-out risk.
- Support the collaborative forecasting and replenishment process.

**Local Operative lifecycle manager**
- Coordination of local launches, changes and withdrawal processes.
- Coordinate processes for local re-packaging.
- Ensure knowledge availability on local and global SKU related change processes.
- Facilitate analytics-based portfolio management/rationalization process.
- Prepare analysis, reports and statistics related to Demand Planning and forecasting function.

**Local master data maintenance**
- GBS SAP Master Data Key User. Responsible for the extension of all new/discontinued Product SKUs for BI Canada to the GBS SAP system. This responsibility will be assigned to one individual in the team.

**Local packaging component specialist role **(only applicable for Human Pharma)
- Manage and supply international manufacturing sites and third parties with new or revised artworks to facilitate securing product supply for current products and new product launches, in addition to local formulary submissions. Ensure that approved artwork/digital files are in compliance with government drug and device regulations, BI corporate policies, Marketing concepts.
- Process owner for the BI pharma packaging workflow system including coordinating and collecting all country specific variable data and coding requirement.
- Provide leadership in managing the system process compliance and process assurance for all functions/departments in BI Canada including external partners. This responsibility will be assigned to one individual in the team. Management System Owner for Artwork Management & External Labelling: Ensure local system implementation, monitoring and maintenance. This responsibility will be assigned to one individual in the team.

This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is **flexible.**

Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department.

**Requirements**:

- University degree Bachelor or equivalent
- MSc / MBA of advantage
- Excellent know-how in SAP - local ERP system and replenishment planning (MRP functionality)
- Excellent know-how in MS Excel - analytics and mass data processing
- Demonstrated expertise in Planning and Supply Chain Management as gained through a relevant University degree combined with 5 to 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong working knowledge of MS office products
- Basic Forecasting knowledge beneficial
- Detail oriented, analytical, organized, strong communication skill, solid technical capabilities
- Proficient in English
- Excellent communication skills Effective negotiator with excellent presentation skills (oral and written)
