**Summary**:
Lead and manage the performance and the development of a unionized team of 70-120 people. The Logistics Manager is responsible of an annual inbound and inbound volumes of $400M. He ensures that the supply chain is efficient and effective throughout the organization. They are to organize, store and monitor the Distribution Center to ensure items are shipped to their appropriate destinations and will also be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring logistics operations. They will ensure optimization maintaining inventory based on demand and supply chain activities.

The role requires strong people management skills combined with good communication, organisation, leadership and ability to deal with changes effectively. Analytical capability to understand supply and demand issues are very important. Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred. This is role responsible for creating a positive work environment for DC teams to meet daily objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coach, engage and motivate Distribution Centre team members daily to ensure efficient Distribution Centre Operations;
- Establish open & inclusive relationship with Distribution Centre union members and other Distribution Centre Leaders;
- Lead all areas of the Distribution Centre - shipping, receiving, B2C, B2B, automation and returns - over $400M of annual activity;
- Inventory management accountability. Ensure daily cycle counts, discrepancy investigation. Prep and conduct annual inventory;
- Manage internal and external relationships - union, product, equipment and automation vendors to solve potential complex issues;
- People resource planning. Seasonal surge requires interview, select and onboarding of new hire;
- Ongoing review & understanding of all Distribution Centre processes. Work closely with the team to identify operational improvements;
- Lead and motivate team to process vendor and customer returns - in excess of $10M annually;
- Lowering cost and improving efficiency at every stage of the process, organizing the warehouse, handling client inquiries;
- Follow published policies related to health and safety rules specific to the workplace as provided by senior management. Promote health and safety within the workplace. Report any potential problems or unsafe situations to supervisors and/or senior management;
- Complete other related duties as assigned.

**Critical Qualifications**:

- 2 or 3 years college/university degree or equivalent;
- Strong Leadership skills;
- Performance management - experience coaching;
- Organize and planning skills required daily to manage operation;
- Strong communication skills - active listener.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of WMS and automation is preferred;
- Experience working in unionized environment preferred.
