**JOB SUMMARY**:
We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team. As a key member of the Procurement team, you will be responsible for set-up, quoting and procurement of pre-release production materials as well as facility requirements - maintenance (office & shop floor), repair and operations.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations)**:
- Purchasing duties to support plant production & maintenance (office & shop floor)
- Stock, control and inventory of tools and parts to support equipment maintenance and repairs
- Invoice reconciliation & payment follow-through
- Manage all non-production purchase requisition requests through to purchase order, confirmation and receipt of product or services
**NPI (New Product Introduction)**:
- Responsible to get new components successfully launched at the suppliers (cost, timing, quality & capacity)
- Work with NPI team to develop & agree on cost targets for new components prior to production quoting
- Part set-up within ERP system in support of NPI purchase and hand over to Production purchase
- Quoting of all non-released production parts
- Management of NPI material spend as it relates to project budgets

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:
- A postsecondary diploma or degree in purchasing, or equivalent
- Member of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is an asset
**Relevant Experience and Skills**:
- A minimum of three years of purchasing experience in an NPI and repetitive manufacturing environment
- Negotiation, quoting and supplier set-up & validation
- Previous MRO purchasing experience
- Sound working knowledge of Excel, Word and other MS Office software
- Theoretical and hands-on knowledge of purchasing and material planning concepts
- Proven organizational, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings is an asset
- Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact in a team environment
