The Opportunity

Under the general direction of the Control Centre Leads, the Control Centre Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation to the Access Pipeline and facilities. This is a full time, permanent position based out of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

80% ~~ Working 12 hours shifts, CCO will monitor and control the pipeline receipts and deliveries.
- Management of Terminal Tanks inventories.
- Monitors all O&M activities on the pipeline.
- Liaison with Producers and connected pipelines.
- Strive for efficient operation of the pipeline to minimize diluent usage and reducing power costs.
- Monitors system balances using the Leak Detection System and daily reports from the Product Accounting Liquid Management System.
- Responsible for initiating responses when over/short pipeline balances exceed expectations
- Provide direction to field operations staff related to O&M activities.

20% ~~ Providing assistance to other disciplines
- Start-up and commissioning assistance.
- Provides gateway to initial emergency response activities.
- Will play a role when the Access ERP is initiated.

Qualifications and Experience

**Skills**:

- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders.
- Demonstrates leadership and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong computer skills

**Education**:

- Technical diploma or a degree in a related discipline would be an asset.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 5 years’ of operations experience with preference given to liquid pipelines and control room experience.
- Health, Safety and Environmental safety training and experience, including H2S, First Aid.
