Our client is seeking **subcontractor Telecommunications Field Technicians** to provide install & repair services to TELUS residential customers in **the BC Lower Mainland**.

In addition to the founder having over 20 years of industry experience, you can rely on the support & guidance from an experienced field operations management team with 20+ years combined in the telecom world.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Explain/discuss details regarding progress, issues, applicable charges and promote products and services to our customers
- Meet company quality standards and key performance metrics
- Complete administration responsibilities accurately and timely
- Comfortable with heavy lifting, climbing ladders/poles, crawling in confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work both Saturday and Sunday, and some statutory holidays
- Primary work location will be within the lower mainland; occasional overnight assignments on the island or interior for a short period of time may be required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in any of the following fields: Telecommunications & Smart Home Security / Electrical / IT / Network Systems / Sales / Customer Service
- Telecommunications field technician experience is preferred but will train if necessary (can take up to 4 weeks at subcontractor’s expense)
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to strive for excellence in customer service
- Permanent Canadian residence/valid work visa status
- Driver’s license with good abstract
- Normal color vision which is required to work with color-coded wiring

**COMPENSATION**
- $37-45 hourly
- Based on completed Telus standard work time per service unit
- Pay for Performance incentives

**Note**: Our client has a contractor-based workforce servicing **TELUS**. They would be looking to hire you strictly as a subcontractor, not an employee.

**SUBCONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS**

You are responsible for all expenses listed below.
- Company registration and setup
- Vehicle expenses including maintenance, gas, registration & insurance
- Work Safe BC coverage and commercial liability insurance
- White van/truck with ladder rack bolted on
- Telecom tools

Pay: $37.00-$45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
- Signing bonus

- Are you comfortable with heavy lifting, climbing ladders/poles, crawling in confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions?
- You will be required to work on both Saturdays and Sundays regularly as well as some statuary holidays. Are you able to do that?
- Your primary work location will be in the lower mainland (eg. Vancouver, Burnaby/New Westminster, Maple Ridge) but you may be required to work outside of the Lower Mainland on occasion and stay overnight for a short period of time. Are you able to do that?
