Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager

**Job Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**
Procurement & Purchasing:
- Develop and manage purchasing strategies to meet the organization’s operational requirements.
- Identify, negotiate with, and establish partnerships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and evaluate new sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services, aligning with production and operational needs.
- Optimize cost savings through effective vendor selection, volume purchases, and contract negotiations.
Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Coordinate with internal departments (such as production, finance, and sales) to align supply chain activities with business goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Monitor inventory levels and establish controls to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery timelines, cost savings, and supplier quality.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain activities and purchasing metrics to management.
- Use data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement within the supply chain.
Compliance & Sustainability:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote sustainable procurement practices and support initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of the supply chain.
**Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum of completion of a 2 year college business diploma with a specialization in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, and supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, sourcing strategies, and logistics operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge and understanding of Industrial Power Transmissions, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical Controls Devices is preferred.
