**Hours**:_Monday to Friday, 40 hours / week, on-call_

**Salary**:_$77,121 - $84,971 per year_

Reporting to the VP Supportive Living and Community Supports, the **Regional Manager, Supportive Living and Community Supports** is responsible for effective leadership of managers in supportive living and community linked programs to meet CWSDS strategic plan, Vision, Purpose and Values.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensures high quality services are available on a continuous and consistent basis with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for the people supported by CWSDS
- Seeks opportunities to build relationships that foster inclusion and increases activities and opportunities for people supported that are receiving service in the community
- Participates as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, providing input and recommendations as appropriate
- Implements and ensures adherence to operational polices and procedures that drive excellence in specialized services. Provides input to the development and modification of polices and procedures to enhance the quality of support and service to the people we support
- Identifies and develops service approaches and programs that are most appropriate for the people supported by CWSDS. Ensures behaviour support plans and personal support plans are implemented and followed appropriately
- Oversees and is accountable for annual budgets in respect to staffing and operating costs for assigned programs
- Provides supervision and leadership to Supportive Living/Community Managers to: ensure staff are hired, trained and retained; provide feedback and measurement of success; ensure goals and mandates of the organization are communicated and understood and adherence to policies, procedures and collective agreements
- Fosters strong relationships with teams, peers, families and community partners
- In consultation with Human Resources, works to mediate employee and labour relations issues and provide sound advice to the respective managers in handling conflict and/or grievances in accordance with the collective agreement; participates in workplace investigations, grievance meetings, arbitration hearings and negotiations as required
- Actively participates and ensures compliance with all quality related audits and initiatives, i.e. MCCSS compliance and licensing audits, Accreditation and RNAO
- Oversees that all data is collected and recorded in appropriate databases
- Champions diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility initiatives
- Assumes Administrator on-call role on a rotating basis
- Prepares documents, conducts analysis and generates reports

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, health, or related field. Master’s degree considered an asset
- 7 plus years progressive experience in a social services environment, with 3 or more years at a management level in a unionized environment; clinical experience an asset
- Strong empathy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Thorough knowledge of government policy, direction, legislation and standards
- Ability to think strategically, use sound judgment and establish priorities
- Demonstrated effective managerial and leadership skills with strong conflict resolution skills
- Experience managing budgets
- Knowledge of the collective bargaining process
- Exemplary communicator and collaborator with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Highly developed interpersonal and organization skills
- Ability to lead change initiatives and foster a positive employee environment
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster positive working relationships with various stakeholders
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and vehicle
- An ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend work as required
- A valid Class “G” Driver’s License and use of vehicle to make community visits
- Providing proof of vaccination for COVID-19 and maintaining vaccination status as necessary from time to time during employment

**LOCATION**: Halton Region. Some travel required to assigned locations.
