- Every year generous Winnipeggers come together in United Way’s annual campaign to raise over $20M to invest in our community. To serve these donors, both individuals and organizations, a variety of gift methods and payment processes are offered to them. United Way also receives support for community programs and operations from government grants. Other revenue types include events, sponsorships, raffles and investment returns. The Accounting Supervisor’s main responsibility is overseeing revenue accounting, collections/receivables and the donor services team. Reporting to the Director, Finance, you will work collaboratively with the entire Finance team in the following areas:
- Oversee 4 donor services staff responsible for recording revenue transactions, payment processing, invoicing and tax receipting
- Design and monitor revenue processes for completeness and efficiency, including understanding supporting data systems and data flows
- Collaborate to design/create and monitor reports to ensure accuracy of transactions and data quality
- Work in partnership with our Donor Relations & Resource Development department to ensure donors receive excellent service throughout their giving experience
- Monitor and analyze pledge/account receivables
- Oversee donor designated payments to other external charities
- Prepare required quarterly and annual financial reporting related to government funding agreements
- Ensure the quality and integrity of raffle processes, in accordance with regulations of the Liquor, Gaming & Cannabis Authority of Manitoba
- Responsible for monthly and year end revenue reconciliations, and providing input into United Way’s tax return in relation to revenues
- Monitor credit card rates, vendors and contracts
- Assist with year-end and budge

**Qualifications**- Bachelor of Commerce with a major in accounting and 3-5 years of accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with direct supervision and overseeing the work of others
- Working knowledge of revenue or CRM systems and accounting software; Great Plains and/or Andar would be an asset
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of word and powerpoint
- Working knowledge of financial accounting principles and GAAP, creating process documentation, and internal control systems
- Revenue accounting and receivables analysis experience
- Good communication skills with an interest in coaching and developing other
