**Geomatics Specialist**
**Location**:
Behr Head Office, Calgary
**Work Environment**:
- Primarily office-based, with occasional fieldwork and travel.

**Your Background**:
- A diploma or degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field of study with 3-5 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency with the ESRI ArcGIS technology suite, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ESRI Field Mobility tools, WebApp Builder, Model Builder, Python, and Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) is required.
- Keen eye for cartographic design and ability to produce high-quality geomatics products
- Thorough knowledge of GIS principles and best practices; experience in GIS data management, production mapping, and QA/QC processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Excellent multi-tasking and project management in a dynamic, service-oriented environment
- Certification in project management or GIS from a recognized institution (asset)
**The Role**:
- Create high-quality GIS products for emergency response plans and other client reports and projects
- Deliver project outcomes within set schedules and budgets
- Collaborate/provide input on project scope, budget, timelines, and quality
- Innovate GIS solutions for business unit spatial and feature data collection, analysis, and management
- Perform advanced spatial analysis and provide data insights
- Offer technical support to internal teams and clients for geospatial systems, data layers, and product standards
- Stay updated on provincial and federal regulations and industry standards in emergency management
This role is suited for a GIS professional who is committed to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in emergency management. The Geomatics Specialist will advance Behr’s geomatics capabilities and support our clients with timely and innovative solutions.
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
