**PRODUCTION COACH - 3RD SHIFT**
**Oshawa Plant (Whitby, Ontario)**

In the Production Coach role, you will be responsible for ensuring production requirements are met with the best quality and in a safe and timely fashion. Coach and lead high performance work teams to have increased levels of autonomy with job rotation, making decisions, planning and problem solving. manner.

**The Role**:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:

- Works safely, reporting hazards and unsafe conditions, maintains cleanliness of work area, ensures uses and wears personal protective equipment, executes start of shift ergonomic stretches and takes all reasonable measures to protect themselves, co-workers, and direct reports.
- Coordinates resolution of quality concerns related to production, reports supplier defects and communicates customer quality issues to improve overall quality results and the minimization of scrap.
- Plans and schedules production activities and ensures correct production processes are followed.
- Coordinates training and cross training with team leaders and ensures effective job rotation is maintained.
- Provides coaching to team leaders and team members to improve key performance metrics including counseling and disciplining, when necessary.
- Executes TPM equipment functional check activities and maintains cleanliness of equipment ensuring proper function and the minimization of delays.
- Encourages the generation of continuous improvement ideas to improve safety and quality standards, reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve customer service.
- Works with other departments to prevent any probable delay in production and effectively executes the policies and goals of the organization.
- Prepares various reports and documentation.
- Ensures compliance with the following legislation: OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights, Employment Standards, and Labour Relations.
- Recognizes and understands the requirements of our internal and external customers and is dedicated to establishing the highest industry standards for quality, value, service & technology.
- Performs any other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed.

**Your Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma
- Supervisory experience preferably within a unionized environment
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Planning and Organization skills
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail
- Problem solving skills.

**Bonus if you have**:

- 5-7 years’ experience in a Production Department preferably within the manufacturing/ automotive industry
- Post-Secondary Education or Experiential Equivalency
