Manitoba Health is currently seeking two (2) Reporting Analysts to join the Information Management & Analytics Branch (IMA). The IMA leads the Provincial Information Management and Analytics Shared Service and maintains the Provincial Data Repository along with other databases within Health.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Community Health Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related disciplines. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Experience conducting quantitative data analysis with complex database domains such as human resources, accounting, financial, for analysis and/or reporting purposes.
- Extensive experience in gathering requirements from various stakeholders' and translating into work tasks and deliverables.
- Experience developing analytical reports and presenting findings using Business Intelligence (BI) tools to management and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders' expectations, change orders, and conflicting priorities.
- Proven technical knowledge with constructing SQL queries, interrogating source data, interpreting results and documenting the operational steps in Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to review and test findings to draw meaningful interpretations and insights from complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to manage workload.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships and collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Excellent written communication skills to prepare documents for management and various stakeholders.

**Desired**:

- Knowledge of complex databases and business data sets including; their uses for indicator development, planning, surveillance, and evaluation purposes.

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Manager of Reporting, the Reporting Analysts develop, maintain, and manage methodologies for generating reports including develop templates or frameworks for report design, visualization and production to ensure standardization and consistency across PIMA.

As a member of this team, the incumbents will:

- Collaboratively develop and refine requirements for new reports, dashboards, and performance indicators;
- Perform data analytics and prepare narrative reports suitable to provide analyses and interpretations to support evidence-based decision making;
- Prepare advisory and authority-seeking documents for consideration and approval of leadership;
- Create and maintain content for concept dictionary, methodology and query repositories.
