**Job Summary**

The Pharmacy Technician Sudbury Lead will be responsible to attend and instruct at all the Sudbury skills camps and Barrie skills camps when requested, provide instruction online or onsite as scheduled to the pharmacy technician students at regularly scheduled class times, and provide administrative support to the pharmacy technician program.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Administrative - Academic**

1.0 Ensure students are being taught in accordance with approved curriculum

2.0 Foster an environment of co-operation and co-ordination among instructional staff

3.0 Participate in the student appeal process when required

4.0 Participate in student meetings as requested

5.0 Assist with tracking student hours in accordance with college procedures

6.0 Attend graduation ceremonies

7.0 Implement and follow the policies and procedures established by the College

8.0 Participate in meetings with staff and outside committees when required

9.0 Participate in student orientations

10.0 Maintain proper records of student meetings

11.0 Submit monthly reports to the program coordinator

12.0 Help with marking and grading of any course work assigned from courses taught by other instructors

13.0 Create curricular content for online delivery, as requested

14.0 Conduct remediation as requested

15.0 Proctor exam as requested

**Administrative - Skills Camps**

16.0 Review and receive pharmacy technician supplies

17.0 Report the consumption of products during skills camps

18.0 Prepare for skills camps

19.0 Conduct inventory of supplies before and after skills camps

20.0 Prepare order requests to send to Campus Director to replenish supplies for upcoming skills camps

21.0 Ensure equipment and labs are in good working order

22.0 Ensure labs are set up for the appropriate number of students attending skills camps

23.0 Ensure all printing of materials is done in advance for skills camps

24.0 Review curriculum and provide input for updates

25.0 Create curricular content (e.g., demo video, new assignments, station tasks, etc.), as requested

**Administrative - Placement**

1.0 Assist with immediate needs of upcoming placements, as directed

2.0 Assist with reviewing student placement preparedness (e.g., mask fitting, medical, criminal record checks, etc.)

3.0 Placement follow ups on scheduling placements

4.0 Tracking students who don’t have placements yet

5.0 Monitoring the placement to-do sheet for action items

**Instructional - Onsite and Online**

7.0 Teach students using a systematic plan that consists of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, interactive activities, independent and group projects

8.0 Inform students, beforehand, of the basis upon which their performance will be evaluated;
9.0 Organize and effectively use classroom time

10.0 Use instruction techniques/methods that recognize and take into account needs and learning capacities of students

11.0 Modify techniques during instruction in response to the needs of the students

12.0 Assist students in developing efficient learning skills and work habits

13.0 Ensure all course objectives and modules are taught according to the program schedules

14.0 Implement course outlines and daily breakdowns

15.0 Adapt course delivery methods in light of the needs of the students

16.0 Establish an appropriate atmosphere in the classroom which is conducive to learning

17.0 Maintain fair, firm and consistent discipline with the students

18.0 Regularly monitor student progress and adjust courses accordingly

19.0 Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses

20.0 Prepare, administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress

21.0 Provide individualized tutorial or remedial instruction to students who require it

22.0 Supervise independent or group projects

23.0 Base the evaluation of students on the guidelines established by the College

24.0 Ensure that the evaluation of students is appropriate;
25.0 Keep accurate and complete records of student performance

26.0 Ensure all evaluation records are regularly updated on the college’s electronic server;
27.0 Prepare final examinations in accordance with guidelines established on the course outline

28.0 Provide timely feedback to students regarding academic progress

29.0 Maintain complete and accurate documentation in areas of responsibility

30.0 Maintain professional registration through your governing body

31.0 Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
