**_Position summary:_**
**_Responsibilities:_**
- Develops and maintains long term customer relationships with key decision makers.
- Generates new revenue and increases sales of products and services to achieve sales goals through prospecting and closing new business, primarily over the phone.
- Develops and implements selling strategies to grow territory and meet or exceed sales goals.
- Maintain current client accounts to gain additional business.
- Cold calling on sales leads to determine who is responsible for labelling on a project.
- Develops an understanding of the project requirements and aligns MSC’s products and services accordingly by selling the MSC’s value proposition of exceptional service, appropriate material selection and labor savings.
- Researches the competition and the markets of MSC and our customers to stay abreast of competitors, developments in competitive products, and changes in the market. Shares information with MSC sales team as necessary.
- Proactively communicates with the customer to ensure all commitments and obligations for the customer are met and/or are exceeded throughout the project/order and provides ongoing support.
- Attends and assists with preparations for trade shows.
- Provides excellent customer service by providing quote/order preparation while following through in a timely manner.
- Keeps sales manager informed on competitive products, promotional matters, sales techniques, pricing, and market changes.
- Other duties as assigned to support the growth of MSC.
**_Minimum Requirements_**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing or related field (significant relevant sales experience will otherwise be considered).
- Minimum 2 years’ sales related experience.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Above average proficiency in MS Office Products, moderate skill level in Excel desired.
- Bilingual in French is not necessary but would be an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed and able to independently manage time and projects; results driven.
- Effective presentation skills, negotiation skills and ability to influence customer’s decisions.
- Ability to gather, analyze and accurately interpret detailed information.
- Demonstrated above average organizational skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales in new territories
- Ability to travel as required
