**Restaurant Staff**

**Dairy Queen **is seeking a full-time Restaurant Staff to join our team in Nanaimo, BC.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with daily food and beverage service, including cleaning, stocking, opening and closing the restaurant.
- Prepare food and beverages for service (e.g. cutting vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.)
- Resolve guest issues (complaints, questions, etc.)
- Check level of service and monitor food safety
- Keep the restaurant area clean and sanitized at all times
- Maintain contact with health code regulations (e.g. wearing a mask when working in the restaurant, keeping the kitchen area clean)
- Assist with opening and closing procedures when necessary
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma GED required; college degree preferred
- Previous experience in restaurant management or other restaurant management roles preferred
- Flexibility in work schedule; must be able to work 40 hours per week
- Proven experience as restaurant staff member at least one year minimum in the past or can provide evidence of being trained on health code regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with all levels of management and staff members

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
