Foundry is looking for a collaborative and skilled program manager with a strong understanding of youth and family peer support services. This position will support our ongoing development, research, and evaluation of Peer Support programming in centres across the province. This position will provide expertise in project, people, and change management that will support and guide Foundry centre leadership as well as a team within Foundry Central Office. Experience working in an integrated team environment as well as with external community partners both in person and on virtual platforms would be an asset. In addition, this position would also advocate for the importance of peer support services in an integrated team setting and consult with provincial, national and international stakeholders.

Summary
The Foundry Peer Support Program Manager is responsible for program management and oversight of the operations of the Peer Support projects and initiatives at local Foundry sites across the Province. Peer Support is one of Foundry’s Core Service streams, offering support to youth and families/ caregivers across the province through shared lived experience. Foundry Peer Support Services include Youth Peer Support, and Family Peer Support.
The Manager provides supervision of Foundry Central Office (FCO) program staff; oversees program planning and program activities; tracks program goals and objectives to ensure program deliverables are achieved; and meets expected deadlines and service requirements. Supports leadership and skill development of staff through the coordination and provision of education and training, expertise and navigation of available resources. Working with the Leader, develops implements and reviews policies and procedures, funding proposals and partakes in program evaluation and research activities. Manages stakeholder relationships and supports centres in building peer services, meeting service standards, and completing quality improvements and assurance work. Prepares progress reports and updates to funding partners such as the Foundry Network and the Foundry Central leadership.

- Demonstrated knowledge of youth and family development, risk and protective factors for health development, promotion, prevention and early intervention approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and promote collaboration and change management, and work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to utilize initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, teach and instruct others.
- Effective communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment.
- Effective facilitation, persuasion and negotiation skills to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes.
- Effective conflict resolution and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Education
- Graduation from a recognized Degree program in a Health Care or Social Sciences field plus five (5) recent, relevant experience in program management preferably within a health care or community social services environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Recent experience in youth and young adult mental health in community and/or hospital settings.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes.
- Lived experience or peer role experience is considered an asset.

Duties
- Provides high-level oversight, monitoring and project management for a variety of Foundry Peer Support initiatives at local Foundry centres across the Province and within the Central Office team.
- Provides day-to-day operational support for FCO program staff and network Peer Support Coordinators including onboarding of staff, provision of education and training to staff, assigning and prioritizing work, coaching and mentoring staff, orientating of staff to available Foundry resources and information portals. Recruits, recommends selection, conducts performance evaluations, determines development requirements and initiates discipline of staff members if required. Addresses other Centre needs as required and communicates them to Foundry Central leadership.
