The Parks and Roads Services Branch is seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Technician to work with the City’s Business Improvement Area partners. The position is about meeting the infrastructure planning, operations, and maintenance needs of these business communities in contributing to vibrant, safe, well maintained, attractive, and thriving business districts. Your success will be measured by your ability to achieve timely results in the context of a respectful, inclusive and service-minded style.

With a focus on the City of Edmonton’s Cultural Commitments to Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:

- Leverage your project management expertise to work with BIAs, service providers, contractors and City colleagues to effectively track and resolve service and infrastructure issues facing Edmonton’s BIAs
- Support an integrated model for monitoring and responding to BIA issues as you facilitate projects and initiatives that have internal City alignment and that are delivered with the support of the BIAs
- Coordinate and facilitate inspections and site meetings to observe and report deficiencies and identify opportunities to improve the public experience within BIAs
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that formalize ways of working for ease of replicating resolutions in the future
- Represent the City of Edmonton as an engaged and effective partner in supporting the realization of BIAs’ ambitions for thriving BIAs and main streets
- Support other BIA infrastructure related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a two (2) year diploma in project management, procurement, contract management, engineering, or a related field from a recognized institute of technology; project management certification is considered an asset
- Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience managing contractors, projects, and working with professional stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to produce excellent quality work under tight timelines
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication and relationship-building
- Ability to prepare site plans, maps, dimensional diagrams, graphics, tables and other materials
- Ability to work independently and actively contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated high standard of thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail while managing a heavy workload, adjusting priorities and maintaining stable performance under pressure
- In-depth understanding of the workings of municipal Administration and the interconnection between City processes, particularly as it relates to operations, project delivery, and small business touchpoints is an asset
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent). Must arrange own transportation to be reimbursed in accordance with City of Edmonton policy. This may require business auto insurance

**Hours of Work**: 40 hours per week. One (1) evening per week and occasional weekends are required.

**Salary Range**: $34.784 - $43.721 (Hourly); $ 72,628.990 - $ 91,289.450 (Annually)
