Position Summary
Areas of Responsibility
- Develops analytical methods for the validation of drug substance and drug product.
- Develop/supports manufacturing processes at various scales.
- Writes and/or reviews protocols and reports.
- Supports method transfer from R&D to QC team as needed.
- Supports product release and stability activities, as needed.
- Directs, develops, and trains analytical and/or formulation staff.
- Coordinates equipment installation, qualification and calibration activities if needed. Troubleshoots equipment related problems with instrument manufacturer to resolve issues.
- Reviews analytical data packages generated for the testing of drug substance and drug product at the contract manufacturing sites.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure successful project completion including providing support to Product Development, Manufacturing, and Operations.
- Maintains established laboratory policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and compliance standards.
- Performs other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc/MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, life Sciences or a related field.
- 3 or more years of industry experience or relevant academic research experience.
- Hands on experience in developing different nanoparticle formulations and biophysical characterizations.
- Demonstrated ability in development and validation of bioanalytical assays.
- Hands-on experience and problem-solving skills with instruments such as UPLC/HPLC, LC/MS/MS.
- Experience with bio-analytical methods and characterization techniques including microscopy, gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, UV-VIS, DLS and zeta-potential would be beneficial.
- Ability to effectively build and maintain professional relationships with multiple departments.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, deliver tasks & projects in a timely manner; manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for learning, doing, and effectively communicating with cross functional teams.
- Prior experience in interacting with contract labs and manufacturing sites.
- Familiarization with instrument purchase, installation, operation, calibration, and other performance qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
