West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients get their lives back by providing inpatient, outpatient and outreach services in specialized rehabilitative and complex care after a life-altering illness or injury such as lung disease, amputation, stroke, and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries. By 2023, West Park’s 27-acre site will be transformed into an integrated campus of care, including a new hospital building and additional community supports such as assisted living for persons with disabilities and seniors. This transformation enables the Centre to evolve its rehabilitative programs and strengthen links to community-based services to meet the future healthcare needs of our local community and the province.

***Accountabilities**:

- Work with the stakeholders to confirm the selection of the **Furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E) re**quirements and the specifications to finalize the selection of equipment.
- Work with the FF&E Project Manager and FF&E team to maintain the procurement schedule and ensure the procurement activities are aligned with the Project Schedule and the transition activities.
- Coordinate with different disciplines during equipment procurement, specifically with IPAC, OHWS, Operational Readiness and Biomedical Engineering, to ensure compliance with the CSA standards, Hospital IPAC policies, AODA, and various regulations.
- Review the architectural drawings, equipment drawings and shop drawings to ensure the FF&E is properly coordinated for the new building and ensure proper filing of all documentation.
- Support Biomedical Eng. Department in assembling and commissioning new equipment.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of the move with the internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and ensure the proper scheduling of the delivery of FF&E received for the new building and ensure proper paperwork is complete with the internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate the delivery of all FF&E with the external stakeholders such as the vendors, Shared Services West and the Project CO team.
- Maintain the FF&E database and the inventory database, and work with other hospital stakeholders to update the asset management system.
- Ensure the proper execution of the existing FF&E transfer plan to the new spaces and ensure the correct transfer items are selected and marked for transfer by the movers.
- Coordinate training, in-service, deficiencies identification and correction and other work required to support the transition to the new hospital and the successful move of FF&E.
- Routinely conduct a walkthrough of the new facility with stakeholders or independently to ensure the readiness and the proper location of the FF&E.
- Collaborate with other Campus Development team members for Operational Readiness, Construction and Information Communication Automated Technology (ICAT) matters.
- Actively participates in Campus Development committees and task forces as required.
- Perform other related duties as and when assigned by the manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, Business or Project Management or equivalent with related experience
- Related equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- 2-3 year experience with Furniture and Equipment in a healthcare facility involving working with the supply chain
- Strong project management, change management and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated comfort and experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to foster effective working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Proven capability as a team player with demonstrated customer service and problem solving approach
- Ability to do minor assembly of low technology equipment
- Ability to work independently and take initiatives
- Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel)
- Previous P3 and/or DBFM projects experience and very good understanding of procurement in Specialized Rehabilitation and Complex Continuing Care clinical operations and flows
- Knowledge of Infection Control Practices for Healthcare
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Practices
