**Opportunity**:
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will be responsible for seeking out improvement strategies and opportunities within the Bitumen Production business unit. Working closely with surrounding teams, you will ensure adherence and execution of continuous improvement projects and activities in order to meet site and provincial safety standards in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Identify improvement opportunities, establish project scope and charter, and facilitate/lead project execution through completion
- Provide leadership and ensure Canadian Natural policies and procedures are followed through worksite presence and regular field audits
- Prioritizes and assists with data requests and analysis
- Contribute to reliability and technical discussion in order to highlight potential risks
- Create and implement the continuous improvement strategy to support operational production plans and equipment availability under the guidance of the Continuous Improvement Lead
- Interface and build a strong rapport with operations, maintenance and contractors to drive change opportunities to all facets of the frontline
- Support lean Six Sigma project teams, provide project analytic for them or assist in project financial validation
- Assist the Continuous Improvement Lead to track and report on project KPIs including project related yield, cost savings, cost avoidance for the business unit
- Assist with progressive Lean Six Sigma (LSS) training in house and facilitate workshops and coach others in utilization of LSS tools and methodology and projects

**Other Details**:

- This position is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Ideally 5+ years of experience with a related degree or technical diploma
- Certification with or eligibility for certification with Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred)
- Good to have experience with front end data extraction and visualization tools (e.g. Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, SQL)
- Analytical mindset in being able to work with massive amount of data to easily translate value out of it.
- Previous experience with field operations or maintenance in the Oil and Gas/Oil sands Sector a definite asset
