**Main Purpose and Function**

The Transformation Lead is performance driven, results-orientated and future focused on identifying opportunities, prioritization and planning, building out plans for next phases of business transformation. The Transformation Lead drives strategic business transformation initiatives within our Financial Services team and is responsible for the successful implementation and go-live of any key business transformational process and system changes. This role will drive efficiencies through process improvement and implementation of systems-based approaches.

This position reports directly to the Manager, Continuous Process Improvement (Mgr. CPI) in Finance, Risk and Supply Chain Management and - since the work of this role is cross-functional - works closely with directors, managers and staff within FRS as well as but not limited to senior and middle management throughout all City departments, consultants and other.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collaborate and partner closely with internal team members within Revenue Services, Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Financial Reporting to ensure the design and functionality of the transformation plan is driving value and efficiency for the organization
- Develop business and financial transformation plan by providing recommendations based upon complex data and current state analysis performed with a view to continuously improve business operations process improvement, project and change management methodologies
- Develop business requirements for technology solutions, support testing requirements and support training programs associated with technology change
- Future-focused on identifying opportunities, prioritization and planning, building out plans for next phases of business transformation
- Develop and implement key process framework to deliver overall efficiency improvement
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to support best finance and accounting practices
- Assist in and develop project reporting, management documentation and project charters
- Provide post implementation user support and training
- Provide leadership in planning the project team’s work, facilitates team meetings with the Process Owner, and ensure that team decisions are made in a timely manner to meet project timeline expectations.
- Partners with and owns the relationships with relevant departments to deliver successful solutions to meet corporate wide strategies and requirements
- Provide leadership in problem solving efforts on key projects to achieve operational goals and objectives
- Provide guidance and leadership to senior management and key areas in organization to ensure transformational change throughout the organization is successful.
- Work closely with the senior managers in the organization to proactively identify potential project impacts on the organization and to provide strategic and tactical advice to those leaders.
- Provide both CPI leadership and sponsors with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key process focused objectives and deliverable
- Develop business requirements for technology solutions, support testing requirements and support training programs associated with technology change
- Works with senior management to proactively identify change and transition needs on a short term and long term priority basis; directs execution of change management strategies including:

- Communication activities to ensure staff are adequately notified of pending changes
- Participation in training program development and implementation
- Liaising with stakeholder groups to ensure adequate preparations are made for pending changes
- Prepare and conduct presentations to, and/or facilitates decision-making for Department Management teams, Division/Branch Heads, Project Steering Committees, and Business Unit Managers
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
