**Mercedes-Benz Richmond **is currently looking to fill the position of **Dispatcher.**

The Service Dispatcher is responsible for the maximization of workshop utilization by assigning evenly and in a fair manner of workflow to technicians based on their skill level and capability. The dispatcher is responsible for any and all sublet vendors doing business with the service department. It is the explicit duty of the dispatcher to report to management any actions or infractions the may hindered the performance, integrity, or safety of the shop and its employees.

**Essential Duties**:

- Prioritize and dispatch work for the shop
- Maintain shop capacity, efficiency and productivity
- Monitor the availability of technicians and inform the Shop Foremen, Service Advisors, and Managers on absences or delays
- Use internal repair orders and pre-delivery inspections/checks to help reach production goals and complete internal work in a timely manner
- Identify and communicate opportunities to enhance workshop productivity and efficiency to Service Management
- Answer incoming calls regarding service inquiries and accurately schedule appointments, when necessary
