**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to organize, manage and delegate shipments within Canada
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and update information
- Analyze data to identify potential issues or delays and take appropriate action
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that arise
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries
- Able to set up or improve shipping processes
- Shipment confirmations to ensure all deliveries take place within the transit requirements

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a dispatching role, preferably in the freight or supply chain industry
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) such as SyteLine or Truckmate
- Strong phone etiquette and experience with phone systems
- Knowledge of ground, air and rail transportation
- Team-oriented, committed, driven, assertive and self directed
- Excellent analytical skills to assess situations and make informed decisions
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Ability to work successfully under pressure and within given deadlines / excellent time management skills
- 2 - 5 years experience in transportation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
