**Rate: $34.03 - $40.57 per hour**

**SUMMARY OF THE POSITION**:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Team Lead will supervise the day-to-day delivery of high-quality client services, staff orientation, supervision and development, quality improvement, and program development and implementation. The Team Lead will supervise the delivery of the Crisis Respite and Integrated Crisis Clinic (ICC) programs for clients including the development of individualized support plans, the delivery of supportive counselling, crisis prevention and intervention, skills development (life skills, social skills, interpersonal and problem solving skills) and vocational and leisure support. This individual will be involved in various interdepartmental and community committees to identify and provide comprehensive services. The Team Lead will be required to work closely with management and other colleagues to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of new policies, procedures and initiatives. **The home base for this role will be at the Crisis Respite program location in Kitchener, will oversee the implementation and operations of the ICC, and may be required to provide support to other locations in the Waterloo Region as needed.**

As noted above, the incumbent will carry significant responsibility in the supervising the ICC - a new program to Thresholds. Further details about this initiative are noted below:
People experiencing mental health and addiction concerns need timely access to high quality mental health and addictions care (including access to and quality of care for depression, anxiety-related disorders, substance use, eating disorders and psychosis) that is accessible, coordinated, and tailored to their needs

The development of an Integrated Crisis Clinic (ICC) is being planned and implemented by the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) and Thresholds Homes and Supports (THS) with support from a variety of other sector partners.

The ICC will include community based assessment and support, five (5) stabilization beds for individuals to receive support until they are ready to return to the community. Individuals will access the clinic from various pathways include referral, walk in, and police / paramedic drop off.

Pathways from the ICC will include discharge to community or access to the crisis respite program for longer term stays.

**HOURS OF WORK**

The Team Lead will work a thirty-five (35) hour week, the hours being flexible to the needs of the staff, clients and program. The position will participate in the agency’s Manager On-call rotation.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field is required; membership within a regulatory college considered a strong asset.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in the field of healthcare; **unionized supervisory experience** considered a strong asset.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in mental health, addictions or supportive housing.
- Must be an energetic self-starter who is able to function comfortably in a team environment or independently and relates well to co-workers and the public.
- Ability to manage time and multiple tasks with little supervision.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, critical thinking and program execution skills.
- Above average writing ability; ability to analyze written reports, complex documents and publications.
- Ability to support performance management and improvement as needed.
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
