**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Facilities and Operations, Maintenance and Engineering Services, the Building Performance Analyst is Responsible for College-wide energy management, tracking and monitoring, the performance of literature research on renewable energy alternatives, to make recommendations for energy conservation strategies, the implementation of energy conservation strategies, and to perform ongoing commissioning of the Facilities.

Incumbent conducts energy audits, feasibility analysis and commissioning activities to identify Energy Conservation Opportunities (ECO), Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) and Preventive Maintenance measures. The incumbent has good technical knowledge of building systems, building science and building envelope design.

The incumbent will utilize Energy Management Systems which includes Building Automation Systems (BAS) such as Siemens Apogee Insight and Micro-Grid as primary functional resources to foster a comfortable work and resident environment for members of the College community, in the most energy efficient manner.

Incumbent compiles financial and statistical analysis to identify performance indicators, to perform benchmark analysis, and to assess and optimize the technical and economic viability of potential energy savings measures.

Required Qualifications:
- Three (3) year Diploma/Degree in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, building science or building engineering;- Certified Energy Manager (CEM ), or Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), or a CAAT Energy Management Graduate Certificate;- A CET designation would be an asset;- A minimum of (5) five years’ experience in design, operating or managing projects related to building envelope systems or to Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning system or to Power Distribution system. Including (3) three years’ experience in conducting and performing building energy Audit or energy modeling;- Possess technical knowledge and hands-on field experience in New and Existing Building Commissioning including functional testing, diagnostics, trending, energy calculations, and implementing improvements;- Ability to interpret facilities infrastructure, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.- Experience using BAS systems for trending and data analysis, knowledge of Siemens Apogee Insight is considered an asset;- Experience working with Building Code;- Experience working independently in a team environment, prioritizing and managing work to meet deadlines;- Experience with energy management;- Experience managing projects related to energy reduction measures and working with consultants to verify specifications;- Competent in AUTOCAD, Energy Modeling Software such as eQuest, EE4 or SIMEB, Load Calculation Software such as Trace 700 and Energy Management Software such as RET Screen;- Proficiency in Word, Microsoft Project, Excel and Access.
