**Sourcing and Procurement Consultant**
- Work with both Research & Development and Quality Assurance staff to source all required ingredients.
- Assist in receiving all ingredient specifications, Kosher certificates, organic certificates, completed supplier approval packages, Certificate of Insurance forms, and any other documentation that may be required
- Fully articulate the Company's expectations to suppliers with respect to delivery requirements, communications, etc.
- Complete negotiations with ingredient suppliers to achieve the best pricing and payment terms possible.
- Prepare forecasting reports for ingredient requirements for future production (30/60/90/180 days) and take steps to secure and order these ingredients accordingly.
- Work with Quality Assurance to monitor performance of approved suppliers to ensure they are meeting the Company's expectations on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate and execute RFQ process for all applicable ingredients on a yearly basis.
- Develop a solid understanding and working knowledge of the Company's accounting and inventory management computer systems.
- Provide direction to inventory replenishment staff clearly articulating the approved supplier list, updated pricing, pertinent contact information, etc.
- Approve all Purchase Orders for ingredients issued by inventory replenishment staff.
- Inspect inventory conditions and quantities with inventory replenishment staff on a daily basis.
- Provide a physical count of all ingredients in inventory at the end of our fiscal periods (every 4 weeks); The physical count may need to take place on Saturdays.
- Provide vacation relief for inventory replenishment staff as required.
- Work with Operations Manager (or designate) to coordinate special buys of ingredients required for promotions.
- Adhere to all company policies including, but not limited to, Food Safety and Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, etc.

**Requirements**:

- Business degree
- Over ten years of relevant procurement experience
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Able to work in team environment as well as independently
- Excellent negotiation skills

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
