We are currently looking for a **Maintenance Manager** from a manufacturing or industrial services environment to join our team in Guelph, Ontario.

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the various pieces of equipment and systems which include troubleshooting, repair and in maintaining the flow of production according to safety, preventive, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

The job entails mentoring, coaching, training, instructing, and offering guidance to a group of great maintenance technicians while also being actively involved in any maintenance activities.

This position requires a high level of teamwork, problem-solving skills and mechanical troubleshooting abilities, along with the outside of the box thinking. Your efforts and that of your team will allow you the ability to maximize the longevity of the machinery and the equipment's performance while focusing on cost savings initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Effectively guide, direct, coach, train, mentor and advise the maintenance team.
- Build maintenance schedules and ensure each task is completed timely.
- To ensure the good execution of the maintenance activities in all aspects to assure productivity of wash quality.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, direct staff to replace, or repair parts, test and adjust as necessary.
- Schedule maintenance staff to perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
- Comply with safety, company and legislative regulations, maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Responsible for the spare part control inventory to ensure equipment maintenance process
- Accountable for the spare part control inventory to ensure the equipment maintenance process and the accuracy of CMMS
- Analyze mechanic parts required for maintenance performance, use of equipment, material, and personnel
- Support all current equipment and new machinery and process introductions
- Responsible for reducing cost through total Preventive Maintenance methodologies & CMMS
- Work closely with maintenance personnel form other MT locations to prevent problems with machinery and equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.
- Support all current equipment and new machinery and process introductions
- Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrence in the maintenance process
- Support technician’s training form other facilities as well as home location to develop skills and knowledge of the equipment and machinery repair for efficiency of maintenance
- Oversees training of maintenance technicians.

**Competencies**
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Manufacturing experience; mechanical, electric, electronic, hydraulic solid, pneumatic, industrial skills with PLC programming for Automation
- Strong manufacturing knowledge
- Effective interpersonal, strong communication and managerial skills
- Experience in the food industry, or other related manufacturing experience.
- Experience with supervising employees in a manufacturing environment
- Must be capable of working in a high-speed environment utilizing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge & the understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and or Kaizen.

**Education/Experience**
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting
