Reporting to the Director of Oncology and Palliative Care, the Oncology Information System Specialist is a resource to the Interprofessional Oncology Team and serves as a liaison between front-line users, system developers within Regional Cancer Information System Implementation Project (RCISIP) team and Information Technology. Acting as a role model and mentor, the Oncology Information System Specialist champions the use of technology in clinical practice.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Bachelors Degree in a healthcare field and/or clinical informatics
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a clinician in an Ambulatory Oncology setting
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical leadership role
- Proven knowledge regarding new trends in clinical practice and information systems
Experience with Meditech, preferably utilizing the Magic platform
Self-directed with the ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Strong and effective change management skills
- Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to mentor, coach and facilitate change and innovation
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in the context of multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Strong research and evaluation skills
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
